SKF in South America

SKF is a leading manufacturer of bearings and engineering components and has contracts and factories located across several continents.  One location in SKF are expanding their production is in South America and particularly in Brazil where they have factory which produces bearings and components for use in the motor industry.

It was recently announced that SKF would be creating an extension to their current factory in Brazil to manufacture wheel hub bearings which meet the new regulations for the Brazilian motor industry.  SKF bearings are designed to be hard wearing and durable and to reduce the amount of maintenance that is required for continued performance.  SKF bearings are used across many different industries but especially in the motor industry.  When it comes to building cars and motor vehicles you have to be sure that you are using the best available parts and that they are designed to be reliable and efficient.  The use of well designed bearings increases the reliability and efficiency for both the manufacturer and those who purchase the cars after production.

Having the factory that produces the hub bearings actually located in Brazil means that delivery and distribution can be carried out much more quickly than if the factory was located elsewhere.  Being able to deliver orders of bearings more quickly means that the motor vehicles themselves may be able to be produced at a faster rate than they might otherwise be able to.  As with other SKF products, the wheel bearings and hubs are designed to improve the safety of the vehicle as well as increase the reliability and reduce the level of emissions from the vehicle.  Vehicles always release emissions but if they are built using efficient elements and have very good fuel economy than these emissions can be significantly reduced.  SKF offer components not just for the production stages of making vehicles but also offer replacement parts which may be needed in the future.
