Brand New SKF Rolling Bearings Catalogue Now Available from Acorn
A new, and extremely comprehensive, Rolling Bearings catalogue has been release by SKF, replacing their previous SKF General Catalogue. The new catalogue has around 1,400 pages and covers no less than 16 product categories - making it the most comprehensive bearing catalogue produced by SKF to date.
Comparing the new rolling bearings catalogue to the current SKF General Catalogue, there have been a number of changes and updates, primarily in the general engineering and technical sections in each product chapter.
The main content updates compared to the previous catalogue include the addition of Y-bearings and needle roller bearings as well as the following featured products:
- SKF Energy Efficient bearings
- High-capacity cylindrical roller bearings
- SKF DryLube bearings
- Polymer ball bearings
- Y-bearings (insert bearings) with SKF ConCentra locking technology
- Grease life calculation for capped deep groove ball bearings
- Extended assortment for value-added bearings
- The assortment of capped bearings, SKF Explorer bearings, electrically insulated bearings and hybrid bearings has been extended.
SKF have designed the catalogue with the reader in mind, making searching for specific information a quick and easy. The product index now lists series designations, relates them to the bearing type and guides the reader to the relevant product chapter and product table. Product designations are available in each chapter and are located on the pages preceding the product tables. These charts come in particularly handy for identifying commonly used designation prefixes and suffixes.
