What are the features and benefits of spider couplings?

Torsionally flexible

Curved-jaw spider couplings have a high level of torsional elasticity, meaning that they are accommodating of both parallel and angular misalignments. 

Dampening

These couplings are dampening of both vibration and shock loads, helping to protect surrounding equipment from harsh operating conditions. 

Fail-safe

Curved-jaw Spider couplings are fail safe. This means that even if the spider element fails, the coupling will continue to function. This reduces the risk of damage to surrounding equipment, as well as unplanned downtime.
