How do SKF tapered bore timing pulleys work and where are they used?

How do SKF tapered bore timing pulleys work?

The grooves in the pulley mesh with the teeth of the timing belt to avoid slippage. The tension of the belt, combined with the friction of the meshed grooves and teeth cause the pulley and shaft to rotate together, conveying motion.

SKF tapered bore timing pulleys are generally mounted in conjunction with a bushing to fit the shaft.

Where are SKF tapered bore timing pulleys used?

Every application which uses a timing belt will also need a matching timing pulley, whether that’s pilot bored or tapered bored.
