SKF has launched a new 8-channel model of their popular Multilog IMx condition monitoring system, designed to suit a multitude of applications.

The IMx-8 features a compact design, which takes up very little cabinet space, allowing it to be installed into instrument cabinet enclosures, alongside existing instruments. It is ideal for use in applications such as marine thruster pods, and offshore direct drive wind turbines, but can also be used on a wide range of other applications.

The New SKF IMx-8 MultilogWith 4GB of internal memory, the IMx-8 enables stand-alone monitoring, as well as logging on large quantities of data, which can then be easily accessed and analysed, following a critical event or failure. The large storage capacity is particularly useful for remote applications, where routine site maintenance visits are a challenge, and are therefore few and far between.

Installation of the IMx-8 is easy, with power and communications over Ethernet allowing app-based configuration, which the majority of users will be able to set up with little or no previous experience or training.
