Acorn team takes on the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge

Staff at Acorn’s Rotherham branch have taken up the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge organised by the British Heart Foundation.

Craig Tivey (Purchasing Dept.), Lee Rogers (Linear Division), Des Spillings (Sales Director), Gavin Stacey (Sales Manager) and Shaun Gough (IT Dept.), along with family & friends Samantha Povey & Nikki, are all hoping to complete the hike on the 23rd July 2011 within the 13 hour time limit.

The Challenge

A 25 mile hike will take them on a physical challenge of a lifetime over three of the most famous peaks in Yorkshire.
Starting from Horton in Ribblesdale, the route takes them through the Yorkshire Dales National Park and over three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire – Pen-Y-Ghent (694 metres , Whernside (736 metres)  and Ingleborough (723 metres ).
