What are the features and benefits of pin and bush couplings?
Fail safe design
Pin and bush couplings feature a fail safe design. This means that they will continue to function even if the elastomer element is damaged. This makes the coupling ideal for use in safety equipment such as elevator drives and fire pumps.
Dampening
Thanks to the elastomeric element, this coupling has excellent vibration and shock load dampening properties. This helps to protect surrounding equipment from damage.
Accommodating of misalignment
Pin and bush couplings can accommodate misalignment of up to 0.5 degrees, thanks to the barrel shaped bushes.
