Energy Efficient Bearings by SKF
SKF Energy Efficeint (E2) bearings represent an ultra low friction performance class, which mandates a minimum of 30% friction momentreduction when compared to SKF standard bearings.
Dimensionally interchangeable with ISO standard bearings, SKF's E2 bearings are available, off the shelf, in common sizes.
Initially, a popular selection of E2 Energy Efficient single row deep groove ball bearings are being manufactured and these are currently stocked at Acorn. SKF plan to introduce a variety of bearing types and Energy Efficient Taper Roller Bearings have also been developed that acheive the SKF friction reduction criteria. At present the SKF E2 Taper Roller Bearings are currently tailored for specific automotive applications.
